Sitting with Uncertainty

Uncertainty is a challenge, whether in your personal life, as a result of your diagnosis, or in our society.

This practice is a guided meditation for feeling grounded and tracking your inner experience, followed by a meditation with the mantra Ek Ong Kar Sat Guru Prasad, Sat Guru Prasad Ek Ong Kar.  This mantra cuts through negative thinking.

The mantra recognizes the interconnectedness of all things and union with the divine, as well as a surrender to the Infinite (however you imagine that to be).

Sat Nam, Kelly. Here it is Friday afternoon and I am just now sitting down with myself to do this practice. It was interesting – I wasn’t expecting anything – or maybe I was challenging myself to feel anything after what has been a stressful week. This practice reminded me of how important it is for me to remain vulnerable, to soften my heart again. Remember the Dixie Chicks song “I’m not ready to make nice, I’m not ready to back down, I’m still mad as hell and I don’t have time to go round and round and round…” Well, it’s been my mantra since the election. I’m not ready to let go, I don’t know where I will end up but that’s okay – I’m learning to sit with the feelings. Your practice this week reminded me of how I’ve fought my way out of numbness and to stay opento the possibilities of life. Or at least to keep going in that direction. ( that Dixie Chicks song is really right on the mark😬) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.🦃
